I’ve been listening to this EP for a minute now. I’m so proud of these Kings man. Outside the star-studded features like Touchline, Zakwe, Duncan, Ginger Trill etc. S Black Entertainment held their own. Switched through many flavours. Exactly what an EP is about. Different Flows, Sounds, and Concepts mashed into one body of work.

We went from Drop Top to Asambe and tied it up with Ngiyak’thatha. Reminiscing, Trapping to a Popular sound. More importantly this all happened without diluting the artistry.

The Dope Kid (TDK), Two Step and H.B really put their stamp on things too. They weren’t complacent, they showed their skill and artistry. HB came in with vernac bars, TDK was floating on the joints. TwostepZN flexed his melodic approach.

This EP series has started off at a very high standard.

  1. Asambe debuted on Channel O.
  2. Ngiyak’thatha made waves on YouTube too.

The city must be proud of this output. Clean audio and high-level visuals backed with the execution of Touchline as the Executive Producer.

There is nothing much for me to say, the numbers are there, the movement is on. I’ve been told Vol. 2 is in the works. It can only get bigger from here.

For now? I have to say I’m impressed. I also have to say the CEO (S Black) and the A and R (Masango) have their ducks in a row. The roll out was special. The visuals and graphics are neat, to the music…More importantly the music. It’s beautiful. The city is certainly up.

O3rd on the map. On a national scale too.
