I love music, I love art, I love expression. With that being said. I have always hated how artists are the last to get paid. Through research, I learnt that its not entirely wrong.

There’s a lot that goes into an artist going national and international. So to be honest, these companies aren’t always fleecing artists. A lot are though, and that’s what I’m going to fix. Not trying to fix, I will fix it.

From watching hours of documentaries, podcasts and studying a bit on how these deals work. I’ve gathered that it’s a little bit more simple than its made out to be.

A record deal is a loan. The loan should cover the following

Recording and Post Production
Features and Producers
Distribution and Marketing
Visuals
Legal and Administrative Costs
Living Expenses
Touring and Logistics
Financial and Auditing Services

We all have an idea that most artist are not equipped to know this, nor could manage this alone. So… the record labels take advantage of this.

If you want to still get a record deal. Please get a good lawyer specializing in Intellectual Property or Media Law to go through it with you. (Mtshali and Associates)

Let me get right to it, we’re proud to announce that we have developed a web application called Pure Water through our sister Information Technology company called Orion Horizon. (Yes, we own it, yes its 100% black owned. Yes, we are that dope, yes our talent and skill set is limitless)

What’s Pure Water? Without mentioning competitors, we’re basically a market place without the headache of retrieving the money through another company I can’t name. You get to sell your art and keep 70% of the sale.

With that being said, we’re not anti streaming, we see its benefits. But click the link below and see how shaky these statistics are. The splits are not sustainable for the majority of independent artists.

Single – R10

EP – R50

Album – R100

Profit Splits

The artist will keep 70% of the sale, the Pure Water application will receive 30% of the sale (Service Fees)

Payment Process

Make a sale

Pay a withdrawal fee of R20 (Which is automatically deducted from your sales)

The payment will be processed within three (3) business days directly into your bank account

Disclaimer

All processes will always be visible in the Artist’s Portal. Transparency will always be practiced with the artists.

Do not steal music.
Do not post music with uncleared samples
We will snitch on you if we get a call/email saying you uploaded music with uncleared samples, or music that is not yours.
We are not involved with split sheets and royalty conversations. Please sort that out before you upload the music
You will receive 70% of the sale and pay a withdrawal fee when you want the money in your bank account.

Your account will be removed if you breach the Terms and Conditions.

Help us, help you. Move accordingly too. If the opps get to us and close down this platform? It will only happen because some artists moved in a manner that forced us to close it. Don’t steal music like the same companies you claim to hate. Keep it Pure.
